Lithotripsy Partnerships Global Lithotripsy Services is a service company - we are not equipment salesmen. Under normal circumstances, we place a lithotripter at a partner hospital with no up-front costs or liability. We train urologists and nurses to use the equipment according to our treatment protocol. We also provide, at our expense, a highly trained radiographer to assist the Urologist in the treatment. The hospital provides space for the lithotripter, pre-op and post-op areas, nursing staff and medications (typically analgesics and antibiotics). All equipment expenses are paid by GLS. To recoup our investment, GLS shares patient revenues (equipment usage fee, independent of the professional consultation fee) with the hospital. This arrangement gives the hospital access to sophisticated equipment with no investment and no risk. Furthermore, a team that specializes in lithotripsy supports the service.
